These are 900-hour AmeriCorps service term positions between May 13 through October 28 with a Thursday through Monday 40-hour service week, including weekends and some holidays. Benefits include possible housing (very limited due to COVID-19), a living stipend, qualification for student loan deferment, and an education award.
Welch Trail Education Center Camp Caretaker
We are seeking a Camp Caretaker to live at the Welch Trail Education Center on Lower Twin Lake, in Harriman State Park, New York. The Caretaker would live at the camp full-time from May 1 through October 26. The ideal camp caretaker should lead by example, serve as a point of contact/staff liaison for corps members, perform simple maintenance tasks and inform the Trail Conference of larger maintenance concerns while ensuring adherence to agreed-upon house rules by all who reside at camp. MEVO Summer Trail Crew Intern
MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization, Inc.) in partnership with the Trail Conference is recruiting hard-working college students with the desire to make a groundbreaking impact on our ecological future for our 2021 Trail Crew. Serving May through August, this internship is designed for passionate and positive individuals who want to make a difference as leaders in environmental conservation, advocate for ecologically sensitive management of park systems, and work physically hard building low-impact hiking trails.
