Clay Pit Ponds State Park

Clay Pit Ponds State Park Preserve has undeveloped ponds, bogs, sandy barrens, woodlands, spring-fed streams, and a nature center to interpret them all. The most unique feature may be glacial deposits of cretaceous sands and clay that are still visible in the park in a range of colors and thicknesses.
