Fire Burns 100 Acres at Harriman

A fire burned nearly 100 acres on Friday, April 10 at Harriman State Park. According to The Journal News, the fire occurred near Route 202k, and began about 1,500 feet from the Ramapo Equestrian Center. It was caused by construction workers using an open fire for welding. Seven fire departments responded and the fire was extinguished in about 2 hours with no injuries.
