Ever wonder about how to turn your passion for the outdoors into action as a citizen scientist? How do invasive species impact our trail systems and parks? Take this workshop to learn about the different ways that YOU can become the scientist and help protect our local landscapes and parks and have fun in the process!
This Citizen Science workshop is an opportunity to learn about the different citizen science programs that the Trail Conference and the Lower Hudson Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management are offering in 2019 and ways that you can become involved.
The workshop will provide a basic introduction to invasive species and their impact on native flora, fauna and ecosystems as a whole and provide an overview of our program offerings through a series of presentations, discussions and hands-on activities.
